Boarding & Daycare Policy

  1. Dogs must be friendly with people and other dogs, no known biters. Also we have a fully fenced area with the shortest spot being 4 ft high in one section. If your dog is a fence jumper please let us know so we can keep your dog on leash.
  2. A complimentary Meet and Greet is required before boarding and daycare dates can be scheduled. We welcome meetings with you and your dog, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4 pm-7 pm weather permitting. A proper vaccine certificate must be submitted prior to the meeting.
  3. All dogs must have current vaccinations, including Bordetella (kennel cough) and it is the dog owner’s responsibility to provide updated vaccine records prior to boarding and renewed annually. We will not accept any dog with any contagious or questionable illnesses until a veterinarian has determined the dog is no longer contagious and safe to be around other dogs. In the event your dog is skunked prior to boarding special conditions may apply and you need to speak with us before drop off. Even if you have a reservation and a major trip planned we reserve the right to decline your dog or dogs.
  4. We can administer all types of medications, including injections such as insulin during your dog's stay with us. Instructions must be explained fully before drop off and dispensing instructions must be clearly printed on all packaging.
  5. Reservations are required for boarding. We schedule drop off's and pick up's by appointment only. Please have your dates and preferred times ready at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
  6. Our drop off & pick up times are as follows:
  7. boarding weekdays 7-10am / 3-7pm
  8. boarding weekends and holidays 8-10am / 3-6pm
  9. daycare 7-6pm weekdays - 8-5pm weekends and holidays
  10. Overnight boarding checkout is 10am everyday - option to extend final day, discounted daycare charge will apply
  11. WE CAN NOT BOARD OR ACCEPT FOR DAYCARE ANY FEMALE DOG IN HEAT. Since we may have both neutered and unneutered males, we cannot guarantee the safety of all boarders if we have a dog in heat.
  12. Due to the communal nature of our playgroups, and for safety/liability concerns, we do not allow any aggressive dogs for boarding or daycare.
  13. All dogs must be on a leash when entering or leaving the premises.
  14. Dog owners understand the risks involved with the communal boarding of dogs. Our boarding and daycare dogs sometimes play both outside and inside with other dogs. Although we will offer reasonable care, the unpredictable personality of dogs can sometimes lead to injury. Dog owner agrees that any problem that develops with their dog will be treated as deemed best by Donna's Pet Care and full financial responsibility for all expenses will be assumed by the dog owner.
  15. We require that you bring your dog's food and not change his diet close to the boarding date since changing a dog's food can cause a severe upset stomach. Each meal can be pre-portioned in individually sealed baggies for short stays and large containers of food for stays longer than a week. Raw is also accepted and will be stored properly. You may also bring treats to be given per your instruction.
  16. We love to share photos and updates as frequently as possible but understand we also need a day to unplug from technology. Sundays we will spend quality time with our boarders and family or if prearranged pick up's and drop-offs are scheduled.
  17. Some travel destinations and cruise ships have limited Wi-Fi access. In the event of a medical situation (unless it's an emergency then we will go to the nearest emergency hospital) please contact your veterinarian's office prior to the drop-off boarding date, let them know your dog will be in our care and you authorize Donna's Pet Care Service to book an appointment as per your instructions. Any fees incurred by Donna's Pet Care Service will be added to the boarding cost and billed at the time of pick up.
  18. We cannot guarantee that toys, blankets, or beds will be kept in the same condition as brought in. For safety reasons, tennis balls, plush toys and rawhides are NOT allowed.
